Privacy Policy

In short: BlinkCam does not collect, store, sell or share any personal data. Photos and videos stay on your device only until you share, retake or delete them, and BlinkCam has no internet access.

This policy explains how the BlinkCam app ("BlinkCam", "the app"), developed by ThePixelForgeDev ("we"), handles information.

Information we collect

None. BlinkCam has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting and no third-party tracking tools. The app does not request internet access, so it cannot send anything from your device to us or anyone else.

Camera and microphone

BlinkCam asks for camera access to take photos and videos. It asks for microphone access to record sound with videos. You can turn off "Record sound" in the app's Settings, or deny microphone access, and videos will record without sound. Camera and microphone are only used while you are using the camera in the app, and what they capture never leaves your device unless you share it.

Photos and videos

Photos and videos are kept in the app's private, temporary storage. They are never saved to your gallery or photo library.
A photo or video is deleted as soon as you share it successfully, tap Retake or Delete, or go back to the camera.
Any leftover files (for example, if the app was closed while you were reviewing a photo) are deleted the next time you open or return to BlinkCam.
Photos and videos are excluded from device and cloud backups, such as Google Drive backups.

Sharing

When you tap Share, BlinkCam opens your phone's standard share sheet and passes the photo or video to the app you choose, such as a messaging app. What happens to it then is governed by that app's privacy policy. To make sharing work, Android may briefly keep a temporary copy, which BlinkCam removes the next time you return to it.

Settings and fonts

Your preferences (such as theme, font, timer, flash and camera choice) are stored only on your device. If you import a custom font, BlinkCam copies the font file into its private storage so it keeps working; it is removed when you delete it in Settings or uninstall the app.

Children

BlinkCam is not directed at children under 13. Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, it does not knowingly collect information from children.

Deleting your data

Since we hold no data about you, there is nothing to request or delete from us. Uninstalling BlinkCam removes everything it stored on your device.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
